Reimagining Sex Work is a feminist activist collective made up of sex workers, artists and scientists. Our core team consists of: Minke Dijkstra, Yvette Luhrs, Brenda Oude Breuil, Jacky Shezade and Mischa Tydeman. We partner with photographers, reporters and editors who conduct honest and constructive journalism
Language and image together form a story. That is why we, as a sex work community, need to work with writing journalists and press photographers together to change the perception of sex workers in the media
We don’t want to tell fairy tales. We want to show true stories of real sex workers. Giving sex workers the stage and stories of sex workers on TV or in the newspaper contribute to a more complete picture of the truth and reality. Whoever tells the story has the power. It’s time to tell our side of the story
