We are sex workers, artists and scientists. We were tired of the stigmatizing way sex workers were presented in the media. We discovered that this was due to journalists’ ignorance about sex work. And because of the limited availability of photos of sex workers in the image banks for journalism
We wanted to make a positive change in this. We decided to work together with journalists, photographers and editors
♥We have written a Dutch media guide together with sex workers and journalists and translated it into English
♥We bring sex workers and photographers into contact with each other and we ensure that new photos are continuously added to the image banks for journalism
♥We organize and build exhibitions at various locations (theatres, festivals, conferences, schools, universities, town halls, ministry buildings)
Language and image together form a story. That is why we, as a sex work community, need to work with writing journalists and press photographers together to change the perception of sex workers in the media

We don’t want to tell fairy tales. We want to show true stories of real sex workers. Giving sex workers the stage and stories of sex workers on TV or in the newspaper contribute to a more complete picture of the truth and reality. Whoever tells the story has the power. It’s time to tell our side of the story
